It is said that design is as much about functionality as it is about the external appearance of an object. On technical objects, it is quite rare to get excited about a look.

This is not the case with the new Veratron VMH-35, an elegant display that hides multiple tricks in its bag, a meter that made the news at the Nautic in Paris 2021, where it was presented as a French preview on the stand of its distributor, the Rochelle-based company Tecmar!

When a Swiss companyVeratronactive since 1972 in the field of vehicle instrumentation for the main brands, premium and Germanof the automotive market, turned 20 years ago to the nautical and develops its experience, it is with a whole precision and ergonomic know-how.

One thing leading to another, Veratron has become a marine display specialist with its brands VDO and Veratron, and has entrusted its distribution in France to one of the specialists of the genre, the company Tecmar.

Veratron VMH 35, a very successful design, nominated for the Metstrade Dame Award 2021

Proven connectivity

Far from being a simple display, the Veratron VMH 35 has a NMEA-2000 connectivity as well as a integrated analog gatewaywith two inputs, to NMEA 2000. These inputs are used to bring back information from gauges or from old engines by allowing to display their rpm.

This high connectivity make it a perfect candidate for refit, playing the role of a sensor centralization gateway to a plotter, for example.

Stronger, the VMH 35 has a battery monitor (to be connected to a shunt placed between the controller and the battery) allowing it to display the state of charge, the currents entering and leaving the battery.

Even better, the VMH 35 is equipped with a GNSS antenna capable of picking up signals from the networks GPS, GLONASS and Galileo. It is capable of delivering simple navigation information such as GPS speed, heading and position...
